Just call or send an email so we can discuss the project. If you are in the NW Chicago suburbs then we can coordinate a kickoff meeting at your facility. If you're not local then we can do it over a Zoom or Teams call. If this is for an ongoing engagement, then we set up a plan.

Our sweet spot for design is small to medium mechanical assemblies that involve injection molded plastics, machined parts, sheet metal parts, cable assemblies, and electromechanical parts. By small we mean assemblies of less than 1,000 parts where one to two designers would be able to complete the work in weeks or months (not years).

Our sweet spot for project management is any sort of project management that we can do remotely with periodic on site visits. We have a great track record running new product development projects, tooling projects, and resolving manufacturing issues in this manner. We are willing to travel as well. We were also able to manage small equipment and machinery installations as well as facility design less than 10,000 square feet. Although we have PMP certification we strike a good balance of rigor and being able to move quickly.

Don't stress! Although this is a tough situation, we can help. Call us right away so we can set meeting times to transfer knowledge and frame up projects from the engineer(s) that is(are) leaving. We would then work with you to maintain momentum for all of your projects and provide engineering support to your team.

Since the crisis is averted, you can think it through and decide whether you will hire a new engineer or continue to work with us. The advantage is that it maintains progress and gives you time to either make a good hire or keep the support in place.

Call us as soon as you find out about it. We will try to accommodate it understanding that it may require working long days and weekends. Of course, we don't want this to be the normal mode of operation but if you are in a tight spot and if we can help you we will.

You own the design. All of our design work is done in SolidWorks Premium and we can transfer the design files to you after the project is complete. We also retain all of our designs securely so we can access them in case you ever need them or if you decide you want us to do additional work.

Yes, but that would have to be quite large. We are clear and forthright up front and throughout the project. Although we have a pool of resources to draw from, there will be projects that exceed our capacity. We do not want to bite off more than we can chew and it is in our best interest to let you know up front. In those cases, we may be able to offer project management services or help you frame up the job in a clear and specific RFQ package. Please do feel free to ask us anything.

Yes, but you would have to contact us to discuss. We can do some measurement, inspection, and validation. However, we do not have a metrology lab. We can help, for instance we can get you in touch with a metrology lab and set up a screening process (so you don't pay to inspect non-conforming materials). We will be offering injection mold design in early 2027. If you need anything even remotely related to our core services, please ask, and we'll let you know if we can do it.
